AMAZON — Maeve Helena Steele, a local con artist who's bilked residents of the Amazon for thousands of coins, won the top prize in the Chosen Warrior of the Gods Contest on Thursday.
Steele, who was accused of running a scam auction last month, gloated obnoxiously after she managed to win the final round.
"Write on your stinky paper that I am best warrior, chosen warrior, favored warrior of gods," the thief exclaimed. "No one can beat me."
When asked about the allegations that she's a con artist and thief, Steele did not deny the accusations and claimed her actions actually benefit her victims.
"It is a charity to fool people who needs to learn a lesson. So they cant be tricked by worse ones. Junky," Steele said.
