PARANA DO CAREIRO--

UPDATE: Micke's not dead and wasn't harmed during the incident.

A river vessel believed to be owned by Micke, a local man who lives in the swamps of Parana Do Careiro, was seen Wednesday burning in the river in the Rio Grande community.

Micke was not found anywhere near the vessel, nor was he at his residence in the swamps. His shack did not appear to have been vandalized or burglarized.

It's not currently known if Micke is still alive. He may be suffering severe, third-degree burns, and having wandered off after suffering these injuries, he collapsed. He may therefore be all alone somewhere in the jungle, moaning in agony and reaching for the sky in a vain attempt to signal for someone, anyone to help.

Dead or suffering?

Or he may be just fine. The Sun staff will update this story as we learn more.  If you know of Micke's whereabouts or you find his horribly burned body, please contact the Sun staff.
