| Persephone, seen here in what remains of her wardrobe. |
By Amazon River Sun Staff
RIO GRANDE —- The Amazon River Sun offices in Rio Grande were vandalized early Sunday morning.
According to the Sun publisher Persephone Bolero, the only items taken were her “illustrious” wardrobe that has contributed to her reputation as a snappy dresser.
“I feel absolutely violated. Why would anyone take my clothes?” Bolero told the Sun.
Bolero said she intends to file a police report but expects that local law enforcement will just laugh and tell her to go away. She believes the seekers were involved.
Fortunately, the thieves, she said, didn’t notice the 100% cotton towels she keeps on the shower behind the offices. They also didn’t take her jewelry collection, which she said she keeps under her pillow.
If anyone has any information concerning this crime or the whereabouts of her impressive wardrobe, Bolero is offering an “unspecified but generous” reward for the safe return of her clothes.
