AMAZON — A new photography exhibit opened Sunday in Acan’s Haunt.
Local artist Cento Sogni has spent the better part of the past year using his talent as a photographer to tell dozens of stories from our little community.
He's displaying these works at an exhibit called "...through his eyes," presented by the Xoco Tribe.
Many of these subjects — along with leaders, celebrities and a few dozen other members of the community — attended the opening event Sunday.

Eve Heartsong, First Lady of Libertad, attended the event draped in opulent jewelry. She spoke of the importance of supporting local artists.
“Without artists, we would be left with politicians trying to decorate the world. And no one deserves that, unless its me. People like Cento Sogni make civilization worth surviving,” she said, before taking a bow.
