AMAZON — The Tapirape continued their annual tradition of Fishing Week Thursday with the Penis Painting ritual.

Tapirape shaman Whispering Wind explained that the sacred blue paste that is applied to men’s “love sticks” is made from special weeds, leaves, fruit juices, and medicinal roots. In other words, stuff from around the jungle.

“These roots are found deep in the soil of the forest, and all is mixed with water from the fountain of Tupaikua in the Ypakarai lake. In the end we add the rare blue cohosh berries that will give a beautiful blue color, known as the blue Tapi,” Wind intoned as she mixed the concoction.

Behold....the penis paste.

Wind, as do the other Tapirape, claimed that the paste will protect men from sexually transmitted diseases, while blessing them with virility and stamina.

"There is nothing that compares with this in all the world!" the shaman declared.

Wind also claimed that the paste has a pleasant taste, though the Amazon River Sun was unable to confirm the statement as of press time.

As is tradition, the shaman dropped to her knees and applied the paste to a circle of men, in what could be best described as a reverse blue bukake. Some men were visible aroused by the ritual, while others maintained a degree of decorum.

Gentle Shui perks up a bit as he receives a blessing.

"Receive this special blessing on your cucumber of love and from now on when you make love your woman will be writhing in pleasure with your performance and taste,” Wind told Shui as she applied the paste to said cucumber.

Once all the men had received the blessing, they all began to dance wildly. The blue-cocked began to twirl their hips and their manhoods, which many would agree was disturbing and yet oddly alluring.

Why is there a blue hand print on Whisper's back?

Despite the absurdity of the ritual, the Tapirape swear by its ability to bring positive outcomes for the tribe members’ couplings and the tribe’s population.

It's St. Vitus' Dance, but for natives.

Micke takes the ritual very seriously.

Some men swelled with joy at the blessing they received.

Patiently awaiting a blessing.

Catten's butt also made an appearance at the event.
