LAGO MARIMBA - Two prizes were awarded in the annual Carnival Pageant Saturday.

Dolphin Freenote was judged to be “Most in Jungle Theme,” while Lake took the “Most Creative” prize.

In a costume of bright rainbow feathers fanning behind him, Freenote peacocked before an impressed crowd.

“Dolphin has a good butt,” Mark Skydancer remarked with a laugh.

Freenote, a native of the Amazon, said he is a descendant of the Mayans, and his skills as a healer were taught to him by his elders. The colors of the feathers in his costume, he told the judges, correspond with aspects of the jungle — basically fruit, birds and rocks.

“My nature is gentle but my determination is fierce,” Freenote declared.

Freenote then played a song and performed a dance that he said was passed down to him from his ancestors.

Hedgehog sex
Lake sings of the beauty of mating hedgehogs.

With a guitar, flute and harmonica, the multi instrumental Lake performed a song about mating hedgehogs and tickled pussies, which apparently resonated with the judges.

“I hope you understand that if the words don't rhyme, then don't have to hit the notes either!" Lake said.

Other contestants also displayed their talents before the audience Saturday.

Dunamisgirl

Dunamisgirl performed a dance of lights, which very much resembled the “tracer” effects of LSD.

She declared herself to be “a beacon of unparalleled prowess in our realm.”

“Moreover, I have delved deep into the rich tapestry of Amazon culture, embracing its traditions as my own. With each passing day, I immerse myself further in the ways of my ancestors, learning their customs and honoring their legacy,” Dunamisgirl said.

Leona shares a hug with the pet snake she rescued.

Leona of the Jurito tribe displayed her talent as a snake healer, which apparently is a thing in the Amazon.

She found her beloved snake, Monty, she said, in a plastic jug that someone had discarded. Monty and Leona then embraced.

Laysa

Laysa Piragibe also performed a dance with a mechanical costume that created waterfalls and rainbows.

The pageant is one of three events covering the festivities of Carnival. Last week, the Amazon community was treated to a parade, and Sunday the festivities will conclude with a Masquerade Party, hosted by Xoco tribe on the pageant grounds near deep drop.

The Sun attempted to capture backstage orgies with a hidden cam.
We were sadly disappointed.
